Draw two routes beyond the split

A relative may join only the first part of a Xinjiang holiday or need to return home sooner. Separate the common itinerary, the terminal transfer and the remaining group's onward journey. A note saying that someone leaves early can conceal a vehicle conflict when both groups need transport that morning.

Compare towns already on your accommodation route before choosing whichever airport or station looks closest on a map. Confirm usable services and terminals with the carrier, then settle the overnight location. This article supplies no current timetable or guaranteed connection time.

Assign transport and assistance explicitly

If using the main vehicle for the transfer would disrupt the continuing route, ask the provider about a separate transfer. Confirm the pickup address, contact person, baggage and assistance required. Ask an older relative whether they can manage the onward journey independently; include an escort in the plan when needed.

Decide who calls if the transfer fails to arrive, where the departing travellers can wait safely, and who informs the rest of the family. A confirmed transfer does not complete the carrier's boarding or check-in requirements. Check these stages separately.

Separate belongings and booking decisions

The evening before departure, divide shared chargers, children's spare clothing and gifts. Check that room keys, another person's documents and equipment needed for the remaining trip do not leave with the departing group. Keep important items with their owners and avoid circulating identity-document details in a shared checklist.

Ask the booking provider whether later room arrangements need changing. Any amendment or refund depends on the relevant booking and confirmed response; do not calculate it automatically from the reduced headcount. Mark each item as confirmed, awaiting a reply or no longer needed.

Record the handover in one message

A sample record might name two departing travellers, their confirmed hotel pickup, the person checking their bags and the person accompanying everyone else. Replace every placeholder with the actual date, address and provider contact, then read the arrangement back before departure.

Leave room in the morning for the handover. Once the split is complete, update the driver's and accommodation provider's expected passenger numbers. The continuing group does not need extra sightseeing simply because fewer people remain.
